Indigo is Yiruma’s sixth album, released by the Yiruma Music Foundation in South Korea on May 3, 2002. Yiruma re-released Indigo under Avex Entertainment Inc. label on March 26, 2004. It was re-mastered with three bonus tracks for the Japanese release.
The piano pieces were written by Yiruma. Yiruma was born in South Korea and trained as a classical pianist from a young age. Yiruma later studied film scoring at London’s Royal Colle —ge of Music, and currently resides in Seoul.
The album reached #45 Fileon the Oricon charts for Japan (Yiruma had previously topped the Billboard charts in the United States, Yiruma’s composition “River Flows in You” was sold for uses in commercials and movies). Yiruma is known for being a popular Youtuber. Indigo hias been Yiruma’s best-selling album in Japan to date, with 64,994 copies sold there.
