The Beatles are an English rock band that formed in the 1960s. The first two years of The Beatles saw about 180 compositions of original material, primarily by The Lennon–McCartney songwriting team. The collaboration credited to Lennon/McCartney is one of the most successful musical partnerships in history. The Beatles’ music is today some of the most popular and best-selling in the world.[3]
