Super Mario Kart – Credits Piano Sheet Music

So Super Mario Kart is a Super Nintendo racing game released in 1992 and published by Nintendo. It was the first of it’s kind for Super Nintendo, and probably most well known for it’s “battle mode” (which most people seem to prefer).

It’s music is pretty good too. I remember very clearly riding the bus with my parents to Super Nintendo Club where you would try out Super Nintendo games for free. Super Mario Kart was one of those games, and as soon as I saw it, I wanted to play the music on the title screen.

I downloaded a midi from here , played around with it a bit in Finale Print Music, and made this transcription of my own. It was very challenging (I had no idea how to notate key changes and certain instrument changes, etc.), but it actually turned out pretty nicely.

I mean, Super Mario Kart is an 8 bit game…so the music would sound kind of bad if it were made with actual notes…but I think you can get a feel for the Super Nintendo sound that Super Mario Kart has.
