Soul Calibur is guarded by a young woman named Sophitia Alexandra who must aid Kilik in his quest to destroy Soul Edge before it reaches the hands of evil once again. Soul Calibur II has many returning characters like Mitsurugi, Taki, Ivy, and Nightmare as well as several new characters like Cassandra (replacing Soul Edge’s Necrid), Raphael Sorel, Rock , Yun-seong, and Maxi.
