Sonic the Hedgehog is a video game about the adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog, and his friends to save their world from various threats. Eggman Nega, a parallel universe counterpart of Dr. Eggman , and Knuckles the Echidna , Sonic’s rival and Sonic’s friend at the same time. Sonic Adventure  was released in 1998 for the Dreamcast to positive reviews. Sonic Adventure  2 , which was released in 2001, is very similar to Sonic Adventure  as it features Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy Rose and new characters such as Shadow the Hedgehog, Rogue the Bat and E-102 Gamma.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3  was developed by Sonic Team in collaboration with Sega Technical Institute. Sonic the Hedgehog 3  was released in 1994 for the Sega Genesis to positive reviews, Sonic the Hedgehog 3  is considered one of Sonic’s best games.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles is a platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega . The game was initially released in 1994 for the Sega Genesis , and later that year for the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis  and then Sonic & Knuckles  was added to it, allowing players to connect both games and “lock on” Sonic 3  to Sonic & Knuckles , forming a single game with almost twice as much content.
