Background information Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ２) is an Sonic platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega in 1992. It was originally released for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis home video game console. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 takes place over twelve zones, which Sonic and his new sidekick Tails (ティー ルス) must free from the domination of antagonist Doctor Robotnik (ドクター・ロボトニック).
