Secret of Mana is an action role-playing game first released by Square Co., Ltd. / Square Soft, Inc. in Japan for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System on August 6, 1993. Secret of Mana is a single player game that follows Randi, Primm and Popoi as they battle a perilous empire to reclaim the power of Mana and bring the world back to order. Secret of Mana was re-released for the Wii and PlayStation Network in 2009 and 2012 respectively, allowing a new generation to experience this classic, colorful adventure. Secret of Mana was also re-made as 3D version that released for mobile devices in September 2015.
Seiken Densetsu 2 – Secret of Mana (originally Secret of Mana 2) is the sequel to Secret of Mana, which released exclusively in Japan on the Super Famicom on December 15, 1995. Secret of Mana 2 tells the story of three heroes who come together to prevent an empire from conquering the world with their stolen power of Mana. Secret of Mana 2 features improved gameplay over its predecessor and is widely regarded as one of the best games in the RPG genre. Secret of Mana and Secret of Mana 2 were later released together on the Nintendo Power cartridge entitled Seiken Densetsu Collection (released July 31, 2017).
Since it’s release, Secret of Mana has been remade and re-released twice: first for mobile platforms under the title Secret of Mana: Remastered and again for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and PC under Secret of Mana: Enhanced Edition. Both Secret of Mana: Remastered and Secret of Mana: Enhanced Edition included new features such as upgraded gameplay, controllable characters in multiplayer mode, added scenarios and music tracks.
