R. City is an American recording duo consisting of R&B artists and brothers: Theron and Timothy Thomas (born October 9, 1979). They are perhaps best known for their debut single “Locked Away” and its subsequent remixed versions which feature vocals from fellow R&B singers Adam Levine and Lil Wayne. R. City began their career in 2009, releasing cover versions of R&B classics on their YouTube channel. In 2015, R. City signed a record deal with Dr. Luke’s record label, Kemosabe Records and RCA Records. R. City was formed by R&B duo Timothy and Theron Thomas who were born in the Bronx but grew up in Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. R&B recording artist R. Kelly heard of the duo and wrote and produced their first album, “What Dreams Are Made Of”, which was released on December 11, 2012. R. City’s debut single “Locked Away”, featuring Adam Levine, was released in June 2015 as a track from the soundtrack to the film “Furious 7”. R. City was featured on R&B singer Mila J’s single “My Main”, released in January 2015. R. City is currently working with R&B artists Mary J. Blige and Jeremih on their upcoming albums for 2016, as well as R&B artist Sevyn Streeter on her upcoming R&B album “Girl Disrupted”. R. City’s studio debut single “Locked Away”, featuring R&B artists Adam Levine and Lil Wayne, was released in June 2015 from the Furious 7 soundtrack. The song was later remixed to include vocals by multiple additional R&B singers, including Chris Brown, Ty Dolla Sign, Trey Songz and French Montana. R. City is known for R&B/soul music with strong influences of reggae and hip hop. R.
