Psalm 52 – I Flourish in Your House Psalm 52 1 God has taken his place in the divine council; * in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: Psalm 52 2 “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Psalm 52 3 Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; * maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Psalm 52 4 Rescue the weak and the needy; * deliver them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 52 5 They neither know nor understand, they walk about in darkness; * all the foundations of the earth are shaken. Psalm 52 6 “I said, ‘You are gods, * sons of the Most High, all of you; Psalm 52 7 nevertheless, like men you shall die, * and fall like any prince.'” Psalm 52 8 Rise up, O God, judge the earth, * for to thee belong all the nations!

Psalm 52 12 “For I know that power is deceitful and that might is worthless, Psalm 52 13 and that success is a lure to ruin. Psalm 52 14 Hence it shall be no more said, ‘The mighty man is mightier than the weak one,’ Psalm 52 15 but ‘the stronger man is weaker than the more fragile one.’ Psalm 52 16 Strength comes from the Lord, Psalm 52 17 and from him comes he who rules all. Psalm 52 18 Yet by some will he be dethroned; Psalm 52 19 and he will be judged by a man of discernment; Psalm 52 20 the righteous is delivered from trouble Psalm 52 21 and the wicked reaps its fruit.” Psalm 52 22 “For as wine sets free those who are bound up, Psalm 52 23 so does the Lord’s word set free those who are appointed to death.” Psalm 52 24 The Psalmist’s words declare the glory of God, Psalm 52 25 and his lips bring about justice. Psalm 52 26 May his teaching shine forth like the dawn, Psalm 52 27 and may his speech gleam like light from a lamp! Psalm 52 28 May it flow from hand to hand Psalm 52 29 like abundant showers upon vegetation Psalm 52 30 and may all the just drink of it Psalm 52 31 as they go forth from the presence of the Lord Psalm 52 32 and let their way be in his footsteps Psalm 52 33 Who is this King of glory?
