Professor Layton and the Unwound Future is a Professor Layton fangame under development by Undergame Studios . The London Streets level of Professor Layton and the Unwound Future has Professor Layton walking his dog, Luke , around London at nighttime. It’s more of an interactive story than a complete game (which is why it’s called a fangame), but there are some minigames involved. While Professor Layton is walking through London Streets, he hears a scream and runs to investigate it. Professor Layton finds Luke in the distance, running away from something or someone after being tripped by an unknown figure in the shadows. Professor Layton follows Luke out of fear for his safety and discovers Professor Layton’s father, Professor Hershel Layton , and Professor Layton’s mentor, Professor Andrew Schrader . There appears to be a falling out between the two of them, but Professor Layton is not sure why. Professor Hershel tells him that he shouldn’t concern himself with their issues and should instead go home. Professor Layton follows Professor Hershel’s advice, but Professor Schrader says that Professor Layton should trust his instincts. He says that Professor Layton will find out the truth in due time and he should stay to help Professor Hershel if Professor Hershel needs it . Professor Layton walks away to go home, leaving Professor Schrader behind. Professor Layton returns to his office and Professor Layton’s assistant, Emmy Altava , wakes him up from a long nap. Professor Layton notes that he has been having nightmares about Professor Hershel calling Professor Layton home to the United Kingdom . Professor Layton dismisses this as a dream and heads to Professor Schrader’s office. Professor Hershel and Professor Schrader are talking about Professor Layton, Professor Hershel saying that Professor Layton is too innocent and Professor Schrader countering that Professor Layton will grow to be wiser . Professor Layton enters the room after being invited in by Professor Schrader.
