The Pokémon Black/White Version (Japanese: ポケットモンスター ブラック・ホワイト Hepburn: Poketto Monsutā Burakku & Howaito) is an RPG video game for the Nintendo DS, featuring all Pokémon from Generations I – IV. It was released in Japan on September 18, 2010, in Europe on March 4, 2011 and in North America on March 6, 2011. Unlike previous Pokémon games for the DS, Pokémon Black/White features 3D gameplay using a third-generation engine. Although Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions were released shortly before Pokémon Black and White in Japan, the former was not released until after Pokémon Black and White were released in America. Pokémon Black/White is the first Pokémon game to feature a playable Pokémon from the Unova region, which was introduced in Pokémon Black and White Versions 2.
