Omori is the pseudonym of a high school student from Oita Prefecture in Japan. Omori started uploading videos of his playing and singing covers on Nico Nico Douga in 2007 with his younger sister, who provided the vocals. Omori’s popularity began to increase after he uploaded a cover of Anohana ending theme Aoi Shiori, which to date has been viewed over 2 million times. Omori’s piano version of Anohana received a great amount of acclaim as well as attention from the anisong industry including Kenji Otsuki and Daisuke Inoue. Omori was signed to Lantis in 2010 and graduated from Oita Prefectural Oita Uenogaoka High School the same year. Omori’s first single as Omori was released on May 5, 2010 and is titled “Fuyu no Hi”. Omori won the Best New Artist Award at the 7th Seiyuu Awards. Omori made his debut as a voice actor in the animated television series “Inazuma Eleven GO Chrono Stone” as Oozora wa Kyūsuke, Omori’s first main character as a voice actor. Omori released his second single as Omori titled Omoide ni Sayōnara, which was the opening theme to the anime adaptation of “Natsume Yūjin-chō”. Omori released his first album as Omori titled Oto no Naru Hou e on April 26, 2011. Omori’s third single as Omori was released on August 17, 2011 and is the opening theme to “Inazuma Eleven GO VS Danbōru Senki”.
