About Muse
Muse is a rock band from England. Muse released their third album, Origin of Symmetry in 2001 and became popular internationally in 2002 after the release of their fourth album, Absolution, which was propelled to success by the singles “Time Is Running Out” and “Hysteria”. Muse’s latest studio album, The 2nd Law, was released in 2012. Muse are known for their energetic and extravagant live shows, complemented by Matt Bellamy’s theatrical vocals and grandiose guitar playing style. Muse have won many music awards throughout their history including five MTV Europe Music Awards, two Brit Awards (Best British Live Act twice), six Q Awards, four NME Awards and an American Music Award. Muse have sold over 20 million albums worldwide and won the Ivor Novello Best Contemporary Songwriter in 2005 for three consecutive songs: “Plug In Baby”, “Bliss” and “Time Is Running Out”. Muse were ranked number 73 in the list of UK Top 100 Artists of All Time published by the NME in 2013. Muse have been listed as one of the greatest artists of all time by magazine Rolling Stone.
