Mondo Cane – More Mondo Cane
Mondo Cane is a 1962 Italian anthology film. Mondo Cane, with the literal translation of “Dog’s World,” takes viewers on a trip around the world as seen through the eyes of those who sell and trade in strange and exotic commodities from around the globe. Mondo Cane was released in Italy on August 11, 1962 and became an international success. Mondo Cane is noted for its soundtrack contributions by Riz Ortolani, who composed all the music for Mondo Cane and scored the film Divorce Italian Style (1961). Mondo Cane was director Gualtiero Jacopetti’s first documentary film. Mondo Cane was followed by two sequel films, Mondo Cane 2 (a.k.a Mondo Pazzo, 1964) and Mondo cane 3 (a.k.a Mondo cane e Gira).
