Minecraft is a sandbox indie game originally created by Swedish programmer Markus Persson and later developed and published by the Swedish company Mojang. The creative and building aspects of Minecraft allow players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D procedurally generated world. Other activities in Minecraft include exploration, resource gathering, crafting, and combat.
Minecraft is a game all about blocks. Minecraft’s world building is the focus of Minecraft, and thus it seems like a natural fit for Minecraft sheet music.
To play Minecraft sheet music at the piano you will need:
– An electronic keyboard with 88 keys (like this one )
– A computer capable of running Minecraft ( Minecraft on PC/Mac/Linux)
– Minecraft sheet music (in this post, available for download at the end of the article!)
In Minecraft, your player does not have a visible body. You can’t see arms or legs as you move around and interact with the world. But! If you want to play Minecraft piano sheet music as if you were playing Minecraft on a piano, you’ll need to utilize some imagination.
The Minecraft main menu screen has a “Minimap” that shows the whole Minecraft world as an island with trees and hills. In Minecraft you can see your player’s hand as they hold an object, so using this image of a Minecraft player holding their hands out in front of them, begin at the leftmost side of your Minecraft Minimap and move to the right until you reach the edge. From there go down by five keys (for the first five fingers on your Minecraft hand) and then continue across until you fill four-fifths of your keyboard’s width.
