Michelle Branch is an American singer-songwriter. Michelle went to Los Angeles in 1999, when she was 16 years old, to start her career in music. Michelle was discovered by Don Ienner, the president of Columbia Records at that time, who signed Michelle with a development deal after Michelle gave him a demo tape of “Everywhere”. Michelle started working with different songwriters and producers in the city and in 1999 Michelle recorded a demo album, “The RoomMichelle Branch is an American singer-songwriter. Michelle’s record label decided to shelve Michelle’s album because Michelle had co-produced it. Michelle then began writing music with some of her friends that were attending Berklee College of Music, in Boston; they formed a band called The Wreckers. Michelle’s band-mate Jessica Harp, was soon signed to Mercury Records Nashville as a solo artist. Michelle and Jessica started touring in 2004 together opening for Keith Urban and John Mayer. Michelle Branch released her debut album “Broken Bracelet” in 2002; the album produced three singles, but it wasn’t until Michelle released her second album “Hotel Paper” in 2003 that Michelle started seeing more success. Michelle launched three singles from the album, “Everywhere”, “All You Wanted”, and “Goodbye to You”. Michelle’s song “All You Wanted” was inspired by Michelle listening to The Cure, while taking a break from touring on account of exhaustion.
