Metallica – The Struggle Within Piano Sheet Music

In its entirety, Metallica’s epic release, Metallica (or “The Black Album”) has been a fan favorite since its first release as a double album back in 1991. Metallica’s self-titled album has been recreated through many genres – from punk rock to acoustic jams and even bluegrass versions.

One fan decided to try something a little different with Metallica’s self-titled album – a piano rendition.

The idea was created by YouTube user, Sam Tsui – who also happens to be an accomplished pianist and musical artist in his own right. His talent is showcased through all of his Metallica cover videos, however one notable video is Metallica’s “Wherever I May Roam” – in which he created a stunning rendition of the Metallica classic.

In Tsui’s latest Metallica video, Metallica’s “The Struggle Within” is transformed from an electric guitar riff to an acoustic piano tune. In his notes for the video, Tsui writes, “I arranged/transcribed this song for Metallica’s self-titled album. I’ve been working on it for a while, but didn’t have the time to finish it until recently.”

The result is an incredible rendition that focuses more on key elements of Metallica’s original song. It doesn’t include Metallica’s heavy guitar riffs or James Hetfield’s sharp, growling vocals – but its piano tune is still Metallica through and through.
