Metallica is a metal band formed in 1981. Metallica lead singer and rhythm guitarist James Hetfield, drummer Lars Ulrich, lead guitarist Kirk Hammett, and bassist Ron McGovney. Metallica has been known for some of the most popular songs that were released throughout the 80’s and 90’s such as “Enter Sandman”, “Nothing Else Matters”, and “Unforgiven”. Metallica also has a very large fan base throughout the world.
Metallica’s first album was titled “Kill ’em All” which was released in 1983. Metallica is mainly known for their heavy metal type of music, but they have a few soft songs that are very popular. Metallica released their first album Metallica in 1991, which featured their most well known song “Enter Sandman”. Metallica has been releasing albums since the late 80’s all the way up until 2011 when they released their tenth studio album titled “Death Magnetic”. Metallica is still around today and is working on a new album to be released in the future. Metallica’s album “Ride The Lightning” is one of Metallica’s best albums to date. Metallica also has an extensive collection of live performances, their most recent being at Metallica By Request where fans requested songs for Metallica to perform live from other bands that Metallica likes and listen to.
