Kirby’s Dream Land is a Kirby game that was originally released on the Game Boy in April, 1992. Kirby’s Dream Land was later remade into Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land , and Kirby’s Dream Land also served as the basis for Kirby Super Star . The story arc of Kirby’s Dream Story is relatively small – King Dedede has stolen all the food from Kirby, so Kirby sets out on an adventure to take it back! Kirby’s abilities are relatively limited in this game – he is only able to use inhale, float, and spit. There are certain enemies that Kirby can eat and gain new powers from – these powers are used for solving puzzles throughout the game. Kirby cannot fly forever – he has a limited “flight time” before Kirby falls to the ground, and Kirby can only gain more flight time by inhaling numerous enemies. Kirby is also able to collect various food items throughout the levels for bonus health points, so Kirby’s Dream Land is not an incredibly difficult game but it does require strategy and some levels are harder than the others. Kirby’s Dream Land was made by HAL Laboratory, and Kirby’s Dream Land is available now on Nintendo eShop for Kirby Super Star is also available now on Nintendo eShop as a Kirby 25th Anniversary game.

Kirby’s Dream Land was developed and published by HAL Laboratory and Nintendo and released in April, 1992 for the Game Boy as Kirby’s first game. Kirby has never been more adorable than he is now! Kirby is a roly-poly, pink puffball whose main power is to inhale enemies and copy their special abilities. Kirby’s Dream Land does not feature Kirby flying, but Kirby can float by holding the up button. Kirby has a limited “flight time”, and Kirby gets more flight time by inhaling multiple enemies at once. Kirby also collects food items throughout Kirby’s Dream Land to earn health points. Kirby’s Dream Land also features Kirby’s favorite food, the strawberry shortcake! Kirby has a number of abilities that he can use against his enemies – Kirby can simply inhale some enemies and then spit them back out at their friends, and Kirby can also copy and use other enemy’s powers by inhaling and swallowing them. Kirby’s Dream Land is Kirby’s first adventure, and Kirby’s enemies are not as varied as they would become in other Kirby games – Kirby mainly encounters different members of the Waddle Dee family throughout Kirby’s Dream Land , but King Dedede makes an appearance as a mid-boss, too! Kirby would eventually befriend the Waddle Dees in later Kirby games, but Kirby’s Dream Land does not feature Kirby befriending the Waddle Dees – King Dedede is Kirby’s main enemy. Kirby’s abilities are not limited to inhaling enemies and using their powers – Kirby can also copy the ability to spit fireballs after eating hot peppers!
