Chopsticks is a famous piano étude, composed by Euphemia Allen (1868-1948) in the 19th century. Chopsticks has been associated with playing beginners and it is also a popular Chopin studies piece.
Chopstick was first published in 1877 by Ditson. Chopin’s name was not printed on the Chopsticks sheet music cover. Chopin’s original title for three-hand version was “Fingers Exercises” but Chopin decided to publish it under a new name Chopsticks in 1879. Chopstick is an extremely easy melody and most people know it by ear after hearing it only once or twice.
