Description Kero Blaster is a large-scale collaboration between three of the most creative minds in indie gaming: Studio Pixel, Kiyoshi Shin, and Masayuki Koyama. The game’s plot revolves around a frog named “Karol” who lives in a tiny village called “Japoni”, which is never exposed to sunlight because it rests in a deep valley. Kero Blaster was awarded “Best New Character (Karol)” and “Funniest Game Overall” by the Japan Game Awards in 2013. It also won an award for Excellence at the 2013 Independent Games Festival China, where it was nominated for Best Art and Design. Kero Blaster is an action side scrolling platformer similar to Kero Blaster’s predecessors Cave Story and Kero Blaster. Kero Blaster is a smaller, more concise platformer compared to Kiyoshi Shin’s previous projects such as Cave Story and Kero Kero Keroppi’s Merry Christmas.
