Imagine Dragons is an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. Imagine Dragons came to be as a result of frontman Dan Reynolds, drummer Andrew Tolman and guitarist Daniel Wayne Sermon’s mutual college studies at separate points in their lives who all began to play instruments individually and eventually decided to form a band. Imagine Dragons has four members: Dan Reynolds (lead vocals, piano), Wayne Sermon (guitar, backing vocals), Ben McKee (bass guitar, keyboard) and Daniel Platzman (drums).
In 2009 Imagine Dragons released their debut studio album “Night Visions” which has been the best-selling debut album by any artist in 2012. Imagine Dragons has released three studio albums to date. Imagine Dragons has two extended plays, 11 singles and five music videos. Imagine Dragon’s third studio album “Smoke + Mirrors” was released on February 17th, 2015. Imagine Dragons recently came out with their new single “Thunder” which is part of their upcoming album “Evolve” which will be coming on June 23rd, 2017. Imagine Dragons has had three songs appear in the Billboard Hot 100 since May 2012: “It’s Time”, “Radioactive” and “Demons”. Imagine Dragons won a Grammy award for Best Rock Performance of 2013. Imagine Dragon’s music fall under the genres of alternative rock, indie rock, pop rock, pop and electronic rock. Imagine Dragons’ songs are about different topics which include: depression, addiction, loss of faith, poverty and more. Imagine Dragons announced their Smoke + Mirrors Tour which began on March 3rd, 2016. They also released a new song called “Not Today” for the soundtrack for Me Before You. Imagine Dragons released their album name, release date and cover for their upcoming album “Evolve” on May 9th, 2017. Imagine Dragons released the first single off of Evolve called “Believer” on January 4th, 2017. Imagine Dragons’ first tour date happened on September 26th, 2011 at the University of North Dakota.
