Harvest Moon 64 is a simulation video game developed by Victor Interactive Software. It was released in Japan on March 27, 1999 and North America on February 26, 2000 for the Nintendo 64 video game console. Harvest Moon 64 is the third Harvest Moon title to be released on a home console. A new Harvest Goddess character made her debut appearance in Harvest Moon 64. Harvest Moon 64 has some new characters, including the Harvest Goddess and Witch Princess, who were not in Harvest Moon SNES or Harvest Moon GB.
The game begins when your character’s grandfather gives him a farm deed (and an ocarina, but it doesn’t do anything special). After building his farm up to level 3 (by shipping 100,000G worth of items), Harvest Moon 64 has a four season change system. Harvest Moon 64 also brings back the Mermaid and Library events from Harvest Moon GB. The Harvest Sprites do not appear in Harvest Moon 64 as they did in Harvest Moon SNES and Harvest Moon GB; however, you can make the Harvest Goddess fall in love with you. Harvest Moon 64 also brings back the cooking system (and recipes) from Harvest Moon GB, but Harvest Moon 64 has many changes in it, along with new items.
