The Fire Emblem franchise has been going on since 1990, and Fire Emblem Awakening was released in 2012 for Nintendo 3DS. Fire Emblem is a tactical role-playing game series where you lead an army around a grid map to defeat your enemies. The games have a great focus on story and characters, so much so that Fire Emblem Awakening is the first in the Fire Emblem series to feature full voice acting. Fire Emblem Awakening follows the story of Prince Chrom, his sister Lissa, thief/bard Vaike, magician/sage Miriel, mercenary/duelist Kellam, Grandmaster Sumia, dark mage Gaius and more as they fight against the evil undead beings known as the Risen. Fire Emblem Awakening brings a new Fire Emblem mascot, the Avatar. The player can choose between a customizable female or male character, referred to as Corrin in western territories, who joins Chrom’s party and aids them on their quest.
The song Id (Serenity) is Fire Emblem Awakening main theme played during the credits. The track was composed by Yuka Tsujiyoko, Fire Emblem’s long running composer. The lyrics were written by Yasuhisa Baba. Tsujiyoko also arranged this track for the piano sheet music, while Shiro Hamaguchi orchestrated it.
