Emeli Sande – My Kind Of Love
Emeli Sandé (born Emelie Josiane Sandra Emeli Sandé on , 1985 in Alford, Aberdeenshire) is a Scottish singer-songwriter. She grew up listening to soul music and practised singing by copying Emotions album I Don’t Care Either Way performing it in front of the mirror. Emeli was a member of a band called Soul Unearthed, performing at a number of gigs in bars and small venues from 2005 to 2008. After graduating from Queen Margaret University College in Edinburgh Emeli decided to pursue her dream and hone her song-writing skills by moving to London.
In 2009 Emeli Sandé signed a record deal with Virgin Records. Emeli Sande debuted at number one on the Official Album Chart UK Top 40 selling 434,000 units in its first week of release . Emeli was nominated for British Female Solo Artist at the 2012 BRIT Awards which she went on to win making history as the youngest winner ever. Emeli has also won several awards for her songwriting including the Ivor Novello Award for “Best Song Musically and Lyrically”. Emeli Sande has established herself as one of Britain’s fastest rising stars with My Kind Of Love showing Emeli to be an extraordinary talent.
