What EarthBound Beginnings’ version of “Pollyanna” is both very beautiful and light, but also sad and dark sometimes. It perfectly reflects Earthbound’s tone- the story is happy and goofy on the surface, but has a lot of darkness and sadness underneath. Earthbound never talks about it, EarthBound Beginnings doesn’t try to hide it. EarthBound’s version is very fast-paced and upbeat, EarthBound Beginnings’ version is slower and sadder.
