Diablo III  is an action role-playing game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. Diablo III is the  third installment in the Diablo franchise, after 2000’s Diablo II . It was announced on June 28, 2008 at  the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in Paris France. Diablo III’s fourth and final  set, the Rise of the Necromancer , was released on June 27, 2017. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls is a  DLC (Downloadable Content) that was announced and launched simultaneously and  is available with Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition . Diablo III: Reaper of Souls is the first Diablo expansion  and focuses on the rifts and the nephalem hero.

A Mortal Heart  is a song from Diablo III: Reaper of Souls . It was composed by Matt Uelmen, with lyrics written by Edouard Guitton and vocals performed by Cissy Jones. The lyrics are based on A Canticle for Leibowitz , a novel by Walter M. Miller, Jr. It is the only song from Diablo III: Reaper of Souls  that is not sung in 40th century common tongue and was notable for being Diablo’s first musical theme.

A Mortal Heart is the second track on Diablo III: Original Soundtrack and features three versions: A Mortal Heart, A Mortal Heart (Instrumental), and Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Intro.
