Debussy – Children’s Corner Piano Sheet Music

Debussy’s Children’s Corner is a six-piece piano suite written for his daughter, Claude-Emma, nicknamed “Chouchou”. Debussy was not the first composer to write a set of pieces for children; Schumann had completed The Merry Peasant in 1848 and Saint-Saëns published many works specifically for children. Debussy’s suite, written in 1908-9 is the best known and widely admired today. Debussy wrote it with his daughter in mind, but she was decidedly unimpressed by it upon its completion. Debussy himself declared that “Claude-Emma does not care for my Children’s Corner”.
