Chopin – Scherzo in E Major, Op.54 Piano Sheet Music Chopin’s Scherzo in E major is for the piano, composed between 1831 and 1835, published in June 1836 by the Parisian firm of Maurice Schlesinger. This piece has three parts: an opening section marked Allegro molto moderato followed by an intensely passionate middle section (Larghetto), and a concluding section marked Allegro vivo. Chopin originally dedicated the Scherzo in E Major to Camile Pleyel, but then Chopin changed his mind, dedicating it to Chopin’s friend Julian Fontana. Chopin considered this piece as one of his 12 Études.
