Celeste is a game about climbing a mountain. You play as Madeline, a peasant who dreams of leaving her village high in the mountains to explore the dangerous world below. During an altercation with some mysterious masked strangers Celeste (voiced by Ashly Burch ) falls off a bridge and falls unconscious. Celeste wakes up to find herself in the care of a talking squirrel named Bea (also voiced by Ashly Burch ). Celeste learns that she has fallen victim to a curse, which will kill her if she ever touches the ground. The only way she can save herself is by climbing Celeste mountain to reach the summit and find a cure.
