Cave Story has a beautiful soundtrack composed by Daisuke Amaya, going by the pseudonym “Pixel.” Cave Story is his first video game that he developed and released for free on PC. Cave Story was then remade into Cave Story+ for WiiWare, with extended content such as a new storyline. Cave Story was then ported to 3DS as Cave Story 3D, which was a complete graphical overhaul of Cave Story+ with additional content. The Cave Story franchise has been getting more and more recognition throughout the years, even getting an official port to the Nintendo Switch in 2017.

Daisy Fan Death: This song plays during Cave Story’s credits, and it is a lovely piece composed by Cave Story’s sound team. The original song is very calm and gentle in its tone, but this piano arrangement of Daisy Fan Death brings new life to the song, with more notes added to fill in some beats here and there.

Confusion Through Sand: This song is Cave Story’s “Rouge of the Cave” theme. It plays when Cave Story’s protagonist, Quote, wakes up and heads through a sand area in Mimiga Village with the help of his friends. The unnerving feeling you get from this melody is still as strong as ever with its dark, almost evil sounding notes. Cave Story – Running Hell Piano Sheet Music
Enemies Abound: This song plays during Cave Story’s Cave of the Past area. This song has a very adventurous sound to it, since Cave of the Past is an underground cave which only has darkness and monsters around every corner. There are many instruments and sounds present in this song, and it makes for a fantastic Cave Story cover! Cave Story – Running Hell Piano Sheet Music
