If you go back in time to the early nineties, into an age where shows like X-Men and Batman: The Animated Series were still some of the best kids television around, then Big O is more than likely one of those anime series that just slipped through your fingers. Big O tells the story of Roger Smith, a detective who lives in Paradigm City, a Big-Brother style police state. Big O is an advanced giant robot that Roger has to control in order to fight against the forces of Paradigm or more specifically Big-O’s main villain named Negaty.
Big O could have easily become just another anime series lost forever to time but fortunately for fans of shows like Cowboy Bebop Big O has continued to grow over time with the creation of Big O Novel, Big O RPG and Big O Legacy.
For all those fans out there who have never heard of Big O let me just say that if you are a fan of anime then you really need to give Big O a watch as it is one of the more unique anime series out there. Big O is a mix of Batman, The Big-Brother from 1984 and Big Daddy from Bioshock all wrapped up into one giant robot with Big O being one of those anime that you just have to watch to appreciate what it has become.
