Beethoven decided to write it because he liked the previous piano concertos that had been written before his own, and he wanted to give the world a new kind of music. Beethoven wrote this piece after listening to Mozart’s final work – the 41st Symphony. Beethoven was inspired by Mozart’s symphony, and he decided to make his piano concerto with a similar theme of the orchestra playing together equally as part of one instrument.
