Bartok – Mountain Horn Song, Sz.56 Piano Sheet Music

Bartok’s “Mountain Horn-Song” is a piano piece that Bartok composed in 1909, at the age of eighteen. It and his first String Quartet were Bartok’s only compositions completed within Hungary before he went to study in Vienna in 1912. Bartok was twenty-one when he wrote this work. Bartok mentioned that the work was written “in Bartok’s own transcriptions” Bartok put the song into Bartok’s Voice and Piano edition in 1922.
