In Banjo-Kazooie, there was a puzzle involving Mumbo Jumbo needing Banjo and Kazooie to find a pair of keys to open a door. One key is hidden in a room with Banjo’s sister Tooty, while the other is hidden in Nabnut’s Storage Room.
According to the Nintendo 64 Banjo-Kazooie game cartridge, Banjo and Kazooie will need Banjo’s sister Tooty in order to open the door to Banjo’s house. However, there is no way for Banjo and Kazooie to find Banjo’s sister Tooty without Mumbo Jumbo’s help. So, they must get Banjo’s sister Tooty from Mumbo Jumbo before they can move on.
On the other hand, Banjo and Kazooie are able to enter Banjo’s house even if they chose not to find Banjo’s sister Tooty. This is due to an oversight by Rareware, which allowed players to open Banjo’s door without Banjo’s sister Tooty even if Banjo and Kazooie choose not to find Banjo’s sister Tooty.
