He has semi-vampiric traits: he dies if he doesn’t eat a daily dose of human blood and cannot see certain things (he walks in the world between reality and the supernatural). Bakemonogatari is a story about creatures that are invisible to normal humans, they are known as “oddities” and they come in all shapes and sizes. Koyomi meets different kinds of oddities on his journeys around Japan.
