Summary: This is a short story which was originally published in Manga Action magazine and reprinted in Azuma’s collection of short stories, Azumanga Nanokakan. It can be considered an Azumanga Daioh side story.

Characters: The story features the four main characters from Azumanga Daioh (Yukari, Osaka, Chiyo and Sakaki) as well as Kaorin, however no other characters besides those five appear in the story. Music: This song is played by one of Osaka’s friends during a music recital. It is written in a classical style, and Azuma-sensei suggests that the name of the song could be translated as “Tomorrow’s free time.” The author also provides alternative titles for this song which are all references to his other works: Azumanga Daioh – Ashita wa yasumi daa! Description: The girls of the Azumanga Daioh cast are hanging out together. Yukari tells them that next year she’ll be attending a school in Osaka, which prompts Chiyo to ask her friends how long they think it will take for her to come back after she graduates. When Osaka says that she should probably wait until the end of high school, Yukari gets upset and threatens not to go to Azumanga Daioh: The Very Short Movie Azumanga Daioh: The Soundtrack Azumanga Vocal Collection Azumanga Nanokakan – Azuma Kiyohiko Monogatari Azumanga Club Azu-nyan.
