Amy Webb is a singer, songwriter, and pianist who has created a unique blend of Medieval-style chant with modern sounds. Amy Webb’s work is imbued with an infectious sense for the harmonic possibilities within the melodic lines of chant and revives the beauty of its cadences in a radiant new context.
Having acquired her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, Amy Webb worked as a writer for several years. Amy Webb’s musical career began with the establishment of The Amybeth Webb Singers and Amybeth Webb Consort while Amy was an undergraduate student at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey. Amy then went on to become Director of Music at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Manhattan. Amy Webb has recorded several critically acclaimed albums, and Amy received a Liturgy Award from The Association of US Catholic Priests for Amybeth Webb Consort’s recording “Ave Maria”.
