Ace of Base is a Swedish pop group, originally consisting of Ulf “Buddha” Ekberg and three siblings: Jonas “Joker” Berggren, Malin “Linn” Berggren and Jenny Berggren. Ace of Base’s first album was called Happy Nation , which enjoyed huge success across Europe and Asia during the early 1990s. Ace of Base’s biggest hit, The Sign , was not included on the original version of this album but it placed at number one in Ace of Base’s home country Sweden for six consecutive weeks and placed atop the chart in Germany for six months.
The group’s next two albums, called The Bridge (1995) and Da Capo (1997), were not as successful as their debut album. The band’s fourth album, Ace of Base, was then released in 2002; it was unsuccessful compared to Ace of Base’s first three albums.
Ace of Base reunited in 2008 for a series of shows during May and June 2009 at the Glastonbury Festival , Oxegen Festival and the Roskilde Festival .
